Who we are

DSB8 Ltd ("DSB8", "we", "us") is a building contractor based in Wimbledon, London. We are a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 12900988. Registered office: 257 South Park Road, London, SW19 8RY.

What information we collect

When you contact us or ask for a quote, we collect:

  • your name, email address and phone number;

  • your property's postcode or address and details of your project;

  • your answers to the questions in our quote form, such as property type, timing and approximate budget;

  • any photos, drawings or documents you choose to upload or send us;

  • how you prefer to be contacted, and how you heard about us.

When you visit our website, our website provider and analytics tools may also collect technical information, such as your device, browser and the pages you visit (see Cookies below).

 

How we use it

We use your information to:

  • respond to your enquiry and arrange a consultation and site survey;

  • prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, plan and carry out your project;

  • keep the records we must keep by law, for example for tax and accounting;

  • improve our website and understand which of our adverts work.

We do not sell your information. We do not send you marketing emails unless you have agreed to receive them.

 

Our lawful basis

  • To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

  • To carry out your project: performance of a contract.

  • To keep financial records: legal obligation.

  • To improve our website and adverts: our legitimate interests, or your consent where the law requires it (for example, non-essential cookies).

 

Who we share it with

We only share your information where needed, with:

  • our website and form provider, Wix.com, which stores form submissions and uploaded files for us;

  • our email provider, IONOS, which hosts our email;

  • subcontractors, designers or engineers working on your project, who receive only the details they need;

  • our accountants, insurers or professional advisers, where necessary;

  • public authorities, if the law requires it.

Some of these providers may store information outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.

 

How long we keep it

We keep your information only for as long as we need it:

  • Enquiries that do not go ahead: deleted 12 months after our last contact with you.

  • Customer and project records: kept for 6 years after the end of the financial year in which your project was completed, as required for tax and accounting, and then deleted.

 

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or transfer it to another organisation. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To make a request, email hello@dsb8.co.uk. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).

 

Cookies

Our website uses cookies that are needed for it to work. With your consent, we may also use analytics and advertising cookies (such as Google Analytics and Google Ads) to understand how visitors use the site and to measure our adverts.
